CICLOS FORMATIVOS FIJR
En la presente edición el FIJR da inicio a un programa de ciclos formativos, en colaboración con la Facultad de Comunicación y Documentación de la Universidad de Granada, cuyo objetivo es el de prolongar y dinamizar el sentido educativo del festival, sostenido habitualmente por la forma pasiva de la exhibición, interviniendo ahora de una forma más activa.
La presencia de la Universidad de Granada cierra una simbiosis lógica entre la filosofía del festival y parte del público que le ha dado sentido de ser durante estas 17 ediciones, y que es principalmente la población estudiantil de la ciudad, ávido participante de un evento con contenidos muy cercanos a sus demandas.
El festival además no quiere quedarse en otro fugaz evento cultural de la ciudad, si no que queremos tener presencia y sentido durante todo el año, como plataforma que somos, y unos de los pilares de esta presencia será la formación.
Los CICLOS FORMATIVOS FIJR propone una serie de Talleres de Cine y de Tecnología Audiovisual para proporcionar al alumnado una relación más firme con las funciones de los distintos departamentos que conforman un rodaje y promueva su interés por el oficio de cine, a la vez que oferta el conocimiento de las futuras vías del audiovisual, abiertas con las nuevas tecnologías.
En el proceso de elaboración de una película intervienen diferentes factores y se unen muchos profesionales de distintos departamentos con un solo objetivo: contar una historia. Se trata, por tanto, de un trabajo en equipo en el cada uno de sus componentes se convierte en una parte fundamental e imprescindible. Este ciclo formativo pretende dar la oportunidad de conocer la labor de algunas de estas figuras a través del “Taller de Script” y el “Taller de Ayudante de dirección”, de la mano de profesionales reconocidos dentro del ámbito cinematográfico nacional y que cuentan en su filmografía con títulos como El Día de la Bestia, El laberinto del Fauno, Crematorio, etc.
El programa cuenta además con el taller de “Posibilidades creativas de Red One” una de las cámaras más utilizadas en los últimos años, y el “Taller de producción y distribución de cortometraje”, que brinda la posibilidad de dar a conocer a los cortometrajistas como realizar un trabajo de una forma profesional y la posibilidad de proyectarlo por el circuito de festivales nacionales e internacionales de la forma más productiva.
El ciclo se complementa con dos propuestas técnicas basadas en la irrupción de las nuevas tecnologías dentro de la creación audiovisual, con el taller “Resolume Avenue, realización audiovisual en tiempo real” un tipo software de realización de vídeo en tiempo real cada vez más utilizados por profesionales del sector publicitario, y con el taller “Sonorización para vídeo con Ableton Live” programa de sonido que facilita la producción sonora para nuestros vídeos.
FIJR WORKSHOPS
This year the International Young Filmmakers Festival of Granada (FIJR), in collaboration with the School of Communication and Documentation of the University of Granada, is offering a series of training activities. The idea is to expand upon the educational aspects of the festival, which to date have been sustained primarily through the showing of films, by offering more options for active learning.
The participation of the University of Granada in this initiative represents the logical symbiosis between the festival's philosophy and the audience that has given meaning to the event over the past 17 years, the city's students. The University population has always found the festival very appealing, with contents that are close to their hearts.
Also, it is not the intention of the festival to be just another fleeting cultural event in the city; we hope to have presence and significance throughout the year, as a kind of springboard for a wealth of other activities, and one of the pillars of this presence will be training workshops.
The FIJR WORKSHOPS include a series of practical courses focused on Film and Audiovisual Technology, by which students will acquire a better understanding of the functions of the various departments involved in filmmaking. The aim is to encourage the students' interest in cinema-related professions while familiarising them with the paths that are opening for audiovisual creation in the future, thanks to the ever-changing new technologies.
The filmmaking process involves a number of different elements in which many professionals with different specialties come together with a sole objective: to tell a story. it is always a matter of teamwork, in which each of the components plays a vital role. Through this series of activities participants will get to know the tasks of some of these figures. The Scriptwriters workshop and the Assistant directors workshop will be led by professionals well-known in the Spanish filmmaking scene, with filmographies that include works such as The Day of the Beast, Pan's Labyrinth, Crematorium, etc.
The program also includes a workshop called The creative possibilities of Red One, about the artistic potential of one of the most widely-used cameras in recent years, and another called The production and distribution of shorts, which will teach creators of short films how to do a professional-quality job and how to get their shorts moving on the national and international festival circuit in the most productive way possible.
Rounding out the series are two proposals of a technical nature that focus on new technologies in audiovisual creation. First, the workshop Resolume Avenue, audiovisual creation in real time, about this type of software increasingly used by professionals in the advertising sector, and the workshop Sound production for video with Ableton Live, on this program that helps us put sound to our video creations.
